“What kind of conversations can occur when speech does not take place? We speak of literally silent sculptures that represent people, electronic devices, clothing, fruits, various instruments or plant species grouped into two classes: the machine class and the flower class (...).”
“From this dizzying taxonomy, therefore, an amalgam of beings erupts whose mixtures and unexpected exchanges would certainly be unaffordable for a “reason” concerned with fighting the diversities of the world in stable and independent units (…). Each figure, despite resonating with the characteristics of neighbouring figures, sees its own language communicated in an enlarged way, in magnifying glass, at the level of the gaze. It’s not that they talk with each other, but that they expose their (extralinguistic) material described plainly, with rigor.”

Musa paradisiaca is a collaborative art practice exploring sculpture, installation and interdisciplinary projects. We work collectively to create experiences that blur boundaries between mediums, ideas and audiences.
"Taxonomy can no longer serve as a measure of truth".
